Connacht Marketing Champion: Rí na Mara
The Connacht Marketing Champion 2007 has shown how a business based in the West can develop and grow, using local resources to create products and branding that can translate internationally. With all of the financial constraints of a developing business, this firm must compete with major global brands, and it is doing so successfully. Rí na Mara, based in An Spidéal was founded in 2004. The company has launched six luxury marine-based cosmetic products. It is now breaking into the US market with its distinctive product range. It has impressed the adjudicators with what it has been able to do with limited marketing resources. |
Leinster Marketing Champion: National Concert Hall
The Leinster Marketing Champion 2007 has been selected for the way in which it has achieved exceptional success with limited budgets. The adjudicators were impressed with the methodical marketing undertaken by this business, with a strategy that was rooted in research, and an extensive marketing programme that was highly targeted. Since it's opening in 1981, Ireland's National Concert Hall in Dublin city centre, has established itself as Ireland's premier centre for the performance of live music. This business has impressed the judges with its clarity, its energy, and its results. Minelab set up in Ireland in 1998 and today employs 43 enthusiastic and customer-focused employees in Bandon, County Cork. The Irish operation from the outset has had tremendous success in driving the marketing, sales and distribution of its products to developing consumer markets in EMEA countries. The company now dominates its target market. |
Ulster Marketing Champion: University Of Ulster
The Ulster Marketing Champion 2007 has been selected by the adjudicators for the way in which it has brought talented people together to create a proposition that is clearly rooted in market needs. Tapping into its own extensive resources, and reaching out to the broader community of stakeholders, it has enhanced its own contribution to its target audiences. The adjudicators were impressed with the way in which UU's School of International Business at the Magee campus in Derry has developed an exciting and innovative new curriculum in Advertising. The team members comprised the very best marketing educational talent available at the university. |
