Fintan Lonergan, Aer Lingus
Fintan started his marketing career in the UK working with various marketing agencies including Ogilvy and Wunderman/Young & Rubicam. He has held senior marketing roles in MBNA (UK & Ireland) and at AIB. Fintan joined Aer Lingus as Head of Marketing, where he has led a remarkable turnaround in the fortunes of the business, involving a major strategic marketing review and repositioning. The result has been increased revenues and passenger numbers, expansion of new routes, and reduction in distribution costs. Fintan he holds a BSc in Management from Trinity College, a Masters in Marketing from University of Westminster, and he is a Graduate of The Marketing Institute of Ireland. |
Greg McAweeney, RaboDirect
Greg McAweeney spearheaded the launch of RaboDirect in 2005, having previously joined ACC Bank in 2003 to research and develop the rationale for the launch of a purely internet bank in Ireland. RaboDirect is a major Irish marketing success story, and it is now used as a template within the RaboBank group. Greg's background is in strategic planning, business development and organisational change in Ireland, Britain and Australia. Greg has developed ebusiness strategies for Siemens Australia, and he delivered the internet strategy of Credit Union Services Corporation Australia. He also previously worked with Commonwealth Bank of Australia on change management issues associated with its merger with Colonial First State Bank. |
Maurice Breen, Bulmers
Maurice Breen was appointed Marketing Director for Bulmers in 2003, with responsibility for the marketing of the complete Bulmers portfolio, including Bulmers, Ritz and Stag. Maurice joined the firm from Scottish & Newcastle in Edinburgh, where he was Brand Director responsible for premium lagers. Maurice Breen played the lead role in launching Magners into the UK, which has been hugely successful. Initially introduced in Scotland, Magners was launched in London, backed by heavy advertising and sponsorship investment, involving very innovative marketing approaches. Maurice has also driven the development of the successful Bulmers International Comedy Festival sponsorship, which is now the second biggest comedy festival in Europe. |
Niall O'Grady, Permanent TSB
Niall O'Grady is General Manager Marketing with permanent tsb and he is responsible for customer acquisition, business retention, product development and communications. Niall has played a lead role in the high profile marketing of the bank, which has generated exceptional business results, challenging much larger competitors. After completing a B.Comm and MBS at UCD, Niall joined the European Commission in Brussels and after three years, he joined Procter and Gamble Benelux where he progressed to the position of European Manager for haircare brands. In 1995 Niall returned to Ireland and joined Cantrell and Cochrane for three years before joining Irish Permanent in 1998. |
