Bite Group

Bite Group is a sandwich and fresh food manufacturer and distributor established in 1998 in Enniskillen. The company's initial growth was primarily in the north, with a customer base consisting of grocery, retail and forecourt outlets, such as Musgraves, J&J Haslett and Costcutter. By 2004 Bite Group were also producing private label products for customers such as Starbucks. In the past year, the company has been focusing on the southern market and it has devised and implemented a strategy to provide an all-island distribution solution to both existing and new customers. Bite Group's current customers include Starbucks, ADM Londis and a range of independent retail outlets, and it has already achieved considerable success.

Filestores
Sheelagh Carroll

Established in 1989, Filestores is a leading provider of off site document storage and data management across the island of Ireland. The firm's success, which has spanned three decades, is built upon a reputation for service quality, security and above all commitment to customers. In 2002 the business opened its second records centre in Kilkenny and in 2004 it acquired Arcane Datastore records centre in Lisburn, which has since been re-branded as Filestores. Developing a North-South Marketing Strategy was key to the success of understanding the local marketplaces, increasing market share, ensuring consistency in service across the island and cultivating existing customer relationships.

IrishJobs.ie
Elizabeth MacCann

IrishJobs.ie is the largest on-line recruitment site in Ireland, and one of the largest web businesses overall in the market. IrishJobs.ie is the only online recruitment business in the market providing a recruitment solution serving the needs of jobseekers and clients right across the island of Ireland. The firm anticipated the increase in job mobility between north and south and it successfully launched nijobs.com to complement IrishJobs.ie, with the sites hosting reciprocal links. The company therefore provides a platform for jobseekers anywhere in Ireland to find their dream job and for recruiters to find the right person for the job, both efficiently and cost effectively.

Silotank
Nicholas Torrens

Silotank is a privately-owned diverse plastics engineering company, formed in 1992, and based at Springbank in Belfast. In 1992 the company produced tanks & silos using Centrifugal Moulding and today these products are still operating with little or no maintenance. The firm specialises in design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and service of storage tanks, covers, and air pollution control systems. It is a leader in innovative thermoplastic systems for the fabrication of tanks, silos, scrubbers, ductwork, and pipework. It supplies the water & waste, microelectronics, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food and drinks industries. With a reputation for quality products and competitive prices, the firm devised and implemented a strategy to increase its cross-border business.
