BFree entered the Free From market in 2011 and quickly became the market leader, but the firm wanted to push the boundaries to bring the category closer to the mainstream. Tapping into Mexican cuisine trend, the multigrain wrap product was developed into a Fajita Kit meal option, with techniques in modified atmosphere packaging avoiding the need for preservatives. The launch campaign featured across all channels, generating strong awareness. The product listing was extended to Tesco UK, a major breakthrough for this small business. The longer shelf life resulting from the gas flushed packaging also opens up new opportunities in the European market.
Winner
Big Red Cloud

Michael O'Brien

Big Red Cloud started out as Big Red Book over 20 years ago, and today it offers online accounting software with a proposition based on simplicity and ease of use. The firm entered and won Bank of Ireland's Sponsor for a Day competition, presenting this small firm with an opportunity and a challenge. A set of tactical marketing activities, both online and offline, was developed to leverage the profile gained from gaining BOI's rugby sponsorship assets. This delivered a marked increase in brand exposure and engagement across all channels, an uptake in the firm's free trial offer and a resulting increase in sales.

BuyAndSell.ie

Cliona Hayes

BuyAndSell.ie faced
the challenge of re- establishling itself with a strong and positive image and a credible strategy in the wake of a buy-out. The classifieds magazine was discontinued and, assisted by Dynamo, the strategy switched to progressing within the Irish online industry. The relaunch of the newly designed and developed website accompanied by a bold campaign generated an influx of traffic. In the face of established competition, the rebrand has allowed BuyAndSell.ie to shed its old image, enter a new era of rejuvenation and growth, and re-establish itself as one of the prominent players in Irish online business.
