Currys.ie looked to expand on its growth from 2019 through not only an enhanced customer journey & value-proposition but also to drive a clearer, more effective digital marketing strategy. The arrival of the pandemic meant that the business would have to pivot and adapt to evolving customer needs and break-down newly created barriers to purchase. With that, ShopLive, the innovative online virtual shopping experience was introduced to create a unique omnichannel customer journey. Also, transparent communications through a real-time onsite info-hub & responsible marketing initiatives gave customers confidence that they could access their essential tech when they need it most.

2020 was a year like no other for Irish Life Health. Leveraging a vast amount of data, consumer insights and consumer testing we optimised our online platform to serve customers in a way that gave them confidence to purchase their health insurance online. By changing our media strategy and creating a fluid performance strategy which continuously tested and optimised elements of the purchase journey we drove a record increase in online sales. The website evolved from serving as a research tool to challenging other distribution channels in generating premium.

After over 20 years of providing free online content, Independent.ie launched a paywall. We needed to convince an increasingly promiscuous reader base, who were using multiple sources for online news, that Independent.ie was worth paying for. The success of this digital offering was paramount to the longevity of the brand. Consumer research, brand repositioning and a new brand idea executed across our own online channels, along with clever partnerships ultimately resulted in a successful paywall launch, exceeding our subscription targets, but also encouraged readers to choose more premium offerings and additional services resulting in a strong base of subscribers.
